Abstract

CONSTITUTION:The raw material 6a to be sintered for an oxide superconductor is placed in a case 11, and transferred into the reproduction device 1 with a belt conveyor 5. The raw material 6a is heated in a sintering zone 2 at a sintering temp. fulfilling the condition of the inequality (M is the m.p. in deg.C of the raw material 6a, and S is the sintering temp. in deg.C). The obtained sintered body 6b is transferred to an annealing zone 3 by the conveyor 5, and the sintered body 6b is annealed at 200-700 deg.C in the oxygen-contg. atmosphere having a higher oxygen partial pressure than the oxygen partial pressure in the atmosphere. The sintered body 6c with improved superconductivity is discharged to the outside of the production device 1 by the conveyor 5.
