Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain the variable dubbing due to a stable action, by making variable a clock frequency, making variable the speed of output digital data and detecting the action speed of a reproducing system from input digital data. CONSTITUTION:When dubbing is executed, when double speed is set by a panel switch, a basic clock control circuit 4 controls the clock frequency of the system as a whole so as to be two times as much as the usual action time. The data on a magnetic tape 3 are picked up at double speed at the usual action time by magnetic heads 2A and 2B. The picked-up reproducing signal, after amplifying 6 and demodulating 7 are executed, is sent to a signal processing circuit 8 and the digital audio interface format is executed. When the digital signal is inputted to an audio digital tape recorder at a sound recording side, by a recording speed arithmetic circuit 18, the transferring speed at the reproducing side and the sampling frequency are detected, a clock frequency is calculated, and sent to the circuit 14. Thus, a system clock frequency is variable-controlled at the double speed.
