Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a load onto a lens and to prevent a gas leaking from a lens by providing a lens having no through hole sufficiently apart from the lens forming at the center part the through hole having smaller diameter than that of a laser light and feeding an assisting gas in the space with a work. CONSTITUTION:The light having passed through a 1st lens 11 is focused at a focal point F, further enlarged and made incident on a 2nd lens 12. Due to the 2nd lens 12 being located at the place apart three times the focal distance of the 1st lens 11 the diameter of the laser light incident on the 2nd lens 12 becomes about two times the diameter of the laser light incident on the 1st lens 11. Therefor, the energy becomes in the state of being scattered and diluted. The laser light having passed through the 2nd lens 12 is converged on a work 14 by coming out of an opening part 21 with its focusing. An assisting gas is fed from an assisting gas feeding pipe 13, coming out of the opening part 21 and fed to a laser light converging part. At this time, the 2nd lens has no through hole and no gas is leaked to the 1st lens side.
