CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic oscillating elements 14a, 14c of oscillatory pieces 13A, 13C are set in the same phase, and ultrasonic wave oscillating elements 15a, 15c are set in phase shifted from that of the ultrasonic oscillating elements 14a, 14c by a specified angle. The ultrasonic oscillating elements 14b, 14d of oscillatory pieces 13B, 13D are set in the same phase and are set in phase opposite to that of the ultrasonic oscillating elements 14a, 14c, and ultrasonic oscillating elements 15b, 15d are set in the same phase and are set in phase opposite to that of the ultrasonic oscillating elements 15a, 15c, and are set in phase shifted from that of the ultrasonic oscillating elements 14b, 14d by a specified angle. Then, voltage is applied to the respective ultrasonic oscillating elements 14a-14d, 15a-15d, and when the respective oscillatory pieces 13A-13D are oscillated, then by the combined oscillation in the vertical and peripheral directions, a rotor 17 and an output shaft 20 are integrally rotated in the specified direction.
