Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the magnetic saturation of an iron core by providing a circuit bypassing an electric current with a phase opposite to that of the collector current of the current transformer of an inverter circuit out of the secondary current of said main transformer. CONSTITUTION:An inverter equipment is equipped with an inverter circuit 1 provided with the primary winding of a current transformer CT in series with an electric-discharge lamp l, a half-wave current feedback circuit 2 returning to the base of said inverter circuit only an electric current with the same phase as that of the collector current of the main transistor Q1 of the inverter circuit 1 out of the secondary current obtained by the secondary winding of the inverter circuit, a timer circuit 3, and a breaking circuit 4. Then, there is provided a diode D3 bypassing an electric current with a phase opposite to that of said collector current out of the secondary winding current of said transformer CT. Thus, the magnetic saturation of an iron core of the transformer CT is eliminated, because the negative half cycle of the secondary current of said transformer CT flows via said diode D3.
