Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a winding slippage by a method wherein two sheets of anode foil are arranged on a first separator by keeping a slight gap, two sheets of cathode foil are arranged on a second separator by keeping a slight gap, a capacitor element obtained by cutting the separators at the gap part is housed in a bottomed case and an open end is sealed hermetically by an opening-sealing material. CONSTITUTION:Anode foil 7 is obtained by roughening high-purity aluminum foil electrochemically and by forming a dielectric oxide film by anodic oxidation. Cathode foil 8 is obtained by cutting the high-purity aluminum foil to about 2.5mm in width. A separator 3 is cut to 6.6mm in width. Two anode leads 9 and two cathode leads 10 are welded to the anode foil 7 and the cathode foil 8, respectively. The anode foil 7 and the cathode foil 8 obtained in this manner are wound together with the separator 3; a wound element 11 is obtained. This wound element 11 is cut to two parts at each gap part of two sheets of the anode foil 7 and two sheets of the cathode foil 8; capacitor elements 12 are formed. Each element is impregnated with an electrolyte; after that, it is housed in a bottomed metal case; an open end is sealed by opening- sealing rubber; whereby a capacitor is completed.
