Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize the good durability and the good reliability by a method wherein a part between a primary coil and a core inserted into the primary coil is insulated satisfactorily by a cylindrical central partition of a coil case and by an injection-molded resin part formed at a gap between the cylindrical central partition and an inner circumferential face of the primary coil. CONSTITUTION:If an electric current flowing to a primary coil 5 is broken, an ignition pulse voltage of a high voltage is induced in a secondary coil 4 and is output from a high-voltage tower 42. Even when the insulation of either an injection-molded resing film 6 between a cylindrical central partition 21 and the primary coil 5 or the cylindrical central partition 21 becomes defective due to, e.g., a pinhole, a crack or the like, the insulation of the primary coil is maintained by a remaining insulating layer. The primary coil is molded by heating a self-adhesive conductor without using a primary spool. Accordingly, although the primary spool is not used, the coil is not loosened. In addition, the primary coil can be insulated by three kinds of insulating layers, i.e. the injection-molded resin film 6, the cylindrical central partition 21 and a self-adhesive film; even when the insulation of two layers among them is broken down, the insulation of the primary coil can be maintained.
