Abstract

PURPOSE:To measure a tuning voltage and a gain or gain control characteristics in a short time only by making a sweep only once by providing a sweep signal generator which has a prescribed reception frequency range. CONSTITUTION:A 1st output signal (a) of the sweep signal generator 26 is applied to a 2nd local oscillator 25 to determine the reception frequency of a level detector 20. When the tuning voltage and gain are measured, a 2nd output signal (b) of the oscillator 26 is supplied to the tuning voltage input terminal 17 of the electronic tuner 10. The tuning frequency of the tuner 10 is varied momentarily and the output is stored in a memory 28. When the gain control characteristics are measured, the 2nd output signal (b) is supplied to the gain control signal input terminal 8 of the tuner 10 to vary the gain of the tuner 10 momentarily. The output is stored in the memory 28 as well. The tuning voltage, again, and gain control characteristics are measured with the same constitution only by changing the connection of the sweep signal.
