Abstract

At the continuity test, the impedance of the BNW section 5 is changed by the control of the BNW control section 6 to unbalance the mutal relation (balance) between the impedance of the subscriber terminal, the impedance of the BF section 4 and the impedance of the BNW section 5, thereby causing bypass from the 4-wire line reception section in the HYB section 3 toward the 4-wire transmission side and setting a pseudo path of a continuity test signal. Thus, the continuity test of a CODEL section 2, the HYB section 3, the BF section 4 and the subscriber terminal side is attained.
