Abstract
PURPOSE:To test effectively whether or not the connection between line reception terminals of a new exchanger and terminals of each line of a main distributor is correct, by tentatively providing an outgoing test trunk for the new exchanger and an incoming test trunk for an existing exchanger. CONSTITUTION:When a line to be tested is designated at a new exchanger EX2, the line side of the designated test lines is connected to a measuring device M via an input terminal tl0 of a test device TE and the exchanger side is connected to a test telephone set TT. Next, a call is made from the TT and a telephone number of the said test line is dialed. This dial signal is received at the EX2 and connected to an existing exchanger EX1 via a test trunk TOGT and a test use incoming trunk TICT. The EX1 makes this call incoming with the same operation as the processing of the normal incoming call. Thus, since a callout signal reaches the input terminal tl0 of the TE via an MDF, jumpers between the MDF and EX2 can be confirmed for the correct connection.
