Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head having small resistance temperature factor, superior membrane quality and appropriate resistance value as well as with a membrane resistor by forming a resistor membrane using an application liquid of specific organic acid or alkoxide. CONSTITUTION:A resistor membrane 4 is formed using an application liquid containing alkoxide of ruthenium or rhenium or organic acid, or one kind or a plurality of kinds of alkoxide of iron, manganese, chromium and cobalt to select from or organic acid. For instance, ruthenium diethylhexanoate and iron diethyl hexanoate are dissolved in a ketone solvent with nitrocellulose so that the ratio of iron to ruthenium may be 3:17. This solution is used as an application liquid for resistance, and is applied over the entire surface of an alumina substrate 1 with a glazed layer 2 having a transition point of more than 800 deg.C through printing process. This coat is baked in the atmosphere at 850 deg.C.
