Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently treat raw water by injecting ammonia and chlorine into raw water of a water treatment installation and generating bonded chlorine and sterilizing raw water. CONSTITUTION:Taken raw water is introduced into a channel pond 1 and also mixed with the raw water contg. ammonium hydroxide injected from an ammonia injector 10. The raw water contg. ammonia is introduced into a rapid mixing basin 2 and both chlorine, where a flocculating agent are injected from a chlorine injector 13 and a flocculating agent injector 15. Bacteria are sterilized and metallic ions are oxidized and also suspensoid is flocculated in a floc state and precipitated. Supernatant water clarified in a sedimentation basin 3 is stored in a distributing reservoir 4 and fed to consumers from the distributing reservoir 4. Thereby bacteria contained in water can be surely sterilized.
