PURPOSE:To carry out the control of speed change ratio with high accuracy without being affected by dust, etc., in working fluid by forming a speed control valve device from an ON/OFF type speed change directional selector valve and an electromagnetic proportional control valve type flow control valve. CONSTITUTION:When a solenoid valve 272 is turned on, the spool 284 of a speed change directional selector valve 262 is moved downward by a pilot oil pressure Pp and working fluid in a first line oil passage 80 flows into a primary side hydraulic cylinder 70 while working fluid in a secondary side hydraulic cylinder 72 is discharged out into a second line oil passage 82, whereas, when the valve is turned off, the working fluid flows in and discharged out the other way around, varying the effective diameter of a variable pulley. This varying speed can be adjusted by means of a flow control valve 264 by duty-ratio controlling the linear solenoid 290 of a speed change control valve device 260. Thereby, the control of speed change ratio can be carried out with high accuracy without being affected by dust, etc., in working fluid.
