Abstract

PURPOSE:To chuck and revolve a disk substrate, etc., without damaging it by supporting a clamp, which goes to be one side of a chuck piece, by an axis to pass through the hub of a spindle with facing to the hub. CONSTITUTION:A clamp 12, which goes to be one side of the chuck piece, is supported with facing to a hub 11 of a spindle 10 and the plural numbers of turning arms 15 are provided to revolve on a surface rectangular to the surface of a disk 3 to be chucked. Further, a spring is provided to turn these respective turning arms 15 so as to be closed toward the hub side in the direction of a central line to connect the centers of the spindle 10 and the clamp 12. In such a case, since the clamp 12 and the hub 11 are positioned on the same axis, eccentricity is hardly generated between them. Thus, the chuck can be positioned in one direction side and the disk can be chucked without fail. Then, there is no dislocation in the revolving center of the chuck piece and even when the disk is revolved, the chuck surface is hardly damaged.
