Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce a processing time by executing a reading and a scanning based on a scanning signal outputted from the prescribed range of a shift register for horizontal scanning and a shift register for vertical scanning. CONSTITUTION:When a pulse signal PH and a signal EH are supplied in a condition the supply of a start pulse signal SH is stopped to a shift register B for horizontal scanning, only picture element signals, which are from the (i)-th signal reading line to the (j)-th signal reading line, can be outputted. On the other hand, a shift register 2 for vertical scanning can supply a signal Pv corresponding to the signal PH and a signal Ev corresponding to the signal EH and it can scan only a prescribed vertical scanning signal in a vertical scanning direction set by these signals. Accordingly, only the picture element signal, which is generated in one part of a photodetecting area A, can be outputted to an input terminal 4. Thus, the reading and scanning of an odd-number field can be executed. Next, the reading and scanning of an even-number field is executed.
