PURPOSE:To simplify a fuel feed system and the control device thereof by carrying out the feed of fuel into one fluidized bed cell by means of the mixture and diffusion of the fuel in a horizontal direction through the fluidized bed boundary of adjoining fluidized bed cells. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a third cell 27, the fuel feed system is eliminated but an air supply system alone is provided. During the total load operation, 33% of a total fuel amount, for example, is fed into a supply unit 3 and 66% of the same into a supply unit 13. An air volume is equal in each of cells to which 33% of the amount of air is supplied respectively, and by this method, a portion of the fuel in the cell 17 is fed into the cell 27 through the boundary surface between the cells 17 and 27, and combustion is carried out. In a partial load mode, the air supply to the cell 27 is stopped and fluidization at the boundary surface between the cells 17 and 27 is stopped so that the fuel is not fed into the cell 27, thereby bringing operation into a completely stopped state.
