Abstract
PURPOSE:To always obtain constant print concentration by providing an exclusive printing pulse width memory in each communication mode whose communicating speed is different. CONSTITUTION:In a ROM6 as a storing part, a printing pulse width memory 9, which is composed of three exclusive printing pulse width memories 9a-9c to correspond to the respective communication mode, is formed. In the respective exclusive printing pulse width memories 9a-9c, an optimum printing pulse width is stored in each thermal head temperature. Namely, when the thermal head temperature rises, the printing pulse width is set to be shortened, however, in the same thermal head temperature, the printing pulse width, which corresponds to the communication mode of [G2] [a half tone] whose printing speed is low, is set to be a value longer than the printing pulse width to correspond to the communication mode of a [G3] whose printing speed is high. Thus, the always constant print concentration can be obtained.
