Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the title catalyst having excellent durability of polymn. activity and giving a polymer of high density, comprizing a specific solid catalytic component, an org. aluminum cpd. and a silicon cpd. CONSTITUTION:A solid catalyst component (A) is obtd. by bringing a solid component (a) contg. Ti, Mg and halogen as the essential components and comprising an Mg cpd., a Ti cpd. whose molar ratio is 1X10<-4>-1,000 based on the Mg cpd. and a halogen source whose molar ratio is 1X10<-2>-10,000 based on Mg into contact with and a silicon cpd. (b) where the atomic ratio (Si/Ti) of the component (i) Ti and the component (ii) Si is 0.01-1,000 and represented by the formula (wherein R<1> is branched hydrocarbon residue; R<2> is a hydrocarbon residue and may be the same as R<1>; 1<=n<=3) to obtain a solid catalytic component (A). The component (A), an aluminum cpd. (B) where the molar ratio (Al/Ti) based on Ti in the component (A) is 1-1,000 and a silicon cpd. (C) contg. one or more of S-H bonds where the molar ratio (Si/Ti) based on Ti in the component (A) is 1-1,000, are compounded.
