Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain in high efficiency the titled superconducting form with high critical electric current density, by compression molding feedstock powder leading to superconductor followed by sintering in an oxygen gas stream at specified temperatures below the melting point of the resulting form while passing a direct electric current. CONSTITUTION:First, a blend of Y2O3, BaCO3, CuO etc. in specified proportion as the feedstock is sintered to prepare feedstock powder leading to superconductor. Thence, this feedstock powder is brought to compression molding followed by sintering the resultant form at temperatures below the melting point of said form ranging from 10-300 deg.C in an oxygen gas stream while passing a direct electric current, thus obtaining the objective ceramic superconducting form. Owing to the above process, the oxygen atoms penetrated from the stream into the form not only thermally diffuse but also are ionized to move electrically to be provided uniformly in an enough amount to be needed into said form, thus enhancing the critical electric current density.
