Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce the titled body removable from mold immediately after press- forming and enabling mass-production of water-permeable flat plate, by attaching a liquid synthetic polymer binder to aggregate composed of coarse particles and coating the coated aggregate with fine powder of hydrated silica, etc. CONSTITUTION:A binder layer 2 is formed on the surface of aggregate 1 by mixing a liquid synthetic polymer binder (e.g. a bisphenol A epoxy polymer having an epoxy equivalent of 180 and a viscosity of 10ps at 25 deg.C) with a hardener and an aggregate (e.g. blast furnace slag) composed of coarse particles having diameter of 10-0.3mm. The coated aggregate is mixed with 5-20pts.wt. (based on 100pts.wt. of the binder) of fine powder of bentonite, hydrated silica, etc., having particle diameter of <=1mum to form a coating layer 3 of the fine powder on the surface of the aggregate 1 to an extent not to cause sticking of the aggregate particles with each other. The obtained body for forming a water-permeable flat plate is compression molded to effect the tacky adhesion of the aggregate particles with each other at the contacting point of the particles to form a skeleton part 10. A water-permeable flat plate having water-permeation part 11 between the aggregate particles 1 can be produced by this process.
