Abstract
PURPOSE:To carry out a continuous and automatic boxing operation, preventing fruit from damage, by providing a changeover feeder capable of feeding the fruit it turns into two container boxes adjacent to each other at the end transferred by main conveyor. CONSTITUTION:Main conveyor 3 transfers fruit at the downstream 3B in the traverse direction (b') via a changeover-feed portion 6 from the up-stream 3A along the traveling direction (a') by the revolution thereof and piles up in due order from the bottom of a inclined container box 2. When a scale reaches as much as 90% of the required contents, the revolution of the down-stream 3B stops and auxiliary conveyor 4 begins rotation thereof to feed a file of fruit one by one from the down-stream 4B to the container box 2. Synchronizing with the above, the changeover-feed portion 6 stops the revolution thereof and inclines in the traverse direction (b') to feed the fruit into another container box 5. When the container box 2 is filled with the required contents, the auxiliary conveyor 4 stops and the container box 5 replaces the container box 2.
