Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow an induction motor to obtain maximum torque at all times in spite of the change of secondary resistance, by estimating the change of generated torque when the slip frequency is changed by extremely small quantities. CONSTITUTION:A rotating frequency Wr of an induction motor 10 is detected with a rotation sensor 12. With a current sensor 30 the primary current I1 is detected, while the primary voltage V1 is detected with a voltage sensor 32. These detected results are inputted into a maximum torque slip operation circuit 34. Based on these detected results and the maximum torque command this maximum torque slip operation circuit 34 operates and works out the power source frequency WO. The operation here is to estimate the generated torque when the slip frequency is changed by extremely small quantities and to change the slip frequency so as to increase this estimated torque.
