Abstract

PURPOSE:To uniformly and surely impregnate a heat resistant liq. binder into a ceramic molded product by degassing the product in a vacuum vessel, injecting the binder into the vessel so that the product is immersed in the binder and applying pressure to the inside of the vessel. CONSTITUTION:In order to increase the bonding strength of a ceramic molded product, a heat resistant liq. binder is impregnated into the product after molding as follows: the product is first degassed in a vacuum vessel evacuated to a nearly vacuum state and the binder is injected into the vessel so that the product is immersed in the binder. Pressure is then applied to the inside of the vessel to impregnate the binder into the product.
