Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve treatment efficiencies and effects, by providing a plurality of through injection nozzles around a treatment tank, each nozzle being set so as to lie at a predetermined angle with respect to the center of the treatment tank, supplying a jet of water to be treated from each of said nozzles into said tank so as to produce swirls therein. CONSTITUTION:Ion exchange is effected by passing water to be treated through a treatment tank 111 filled with ion exchange resins 112. In this case, a plurality of injection nozzles 114-116 having an opening inside the tank 111 are disposed around the treatment tank 111 so that each of said nozzles is set so as to lie at a predetermined angle with respect to the center of the treatment tank, whereby swirls are produced in the treatment tank 111 by supplying a jet of water to be treated through each nozzle. As a result, ion exchange resins are stirred and mixed by the swirls and rise to the surface, so that ion exchange is conducted, leading to improved treatment efficiencies and effects.
