Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the number of the permanent magnets to be assembled as parts and to reduce the cost and size of an instrument by providing coils for power generation to serve as a power supply for driving the instrument near the magnets of magnetic couplings.
CONSTITUTION: A female part 4 of the magnetic coupling consisting of the permanent magnets 5aW5d is provided to the end, which protects to the outside of a case, of the output shaft 2 of a body 1. The end of a revolving shaft 9 of a slit plate 7 is projected to the outside of a signal transmitter case 6a and a male part 10 of the magnetic coupling consisting of the permanent magnets 11aW11d is provided to the projecting end. The female part 4 and the male part 10 are partitioned by a partition wall 12 and 4 pieces of the coils 14 for power generation are mounted on the inside peripheral wall of the recesses 12a thereof to constitute a power generator 15 together with the magnets 5aW5d, 11aW11d. A rotor 1a rotates and the magnets 5aW5d are rotated by means of the shaft 2 and the support 4a when fluid flows in the body 1. As a result, the magnets 11aW11d rotate as well and the plate 7 is rotated by means of the shaft 9 to shut off the light beam path in a sensor 8 part. The rotation of the shaft 9, i.e., the shaft 2 is thereby detected and is outputted as a flow rate pulse signal to a controller 18.
