Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of dew condensation and reduce power consumption so as to be able to maintain comfortable air conditioning condition by a method wherein when an abnormal output from respective sensors measuring the temp. and relative humidity in a basement for living and of outside air is detected, an air conditioner is operated according to a control sequence dealing with this abnormal output. CONSTITUTION:A control part 10 into which measuring values from respective sensors 6, 7, 8, 9 placed at the inside and outside of a basement 1 are fed at all times is operated on the basis of these values. For instance, when room temp. is 15 deg.C, 22 deg.C, 27 deg.C respectively and the relative humidity in the room is 85% in all cases, the room temp. and the relative humidity are in a specified range and the control of humidity is necessary because of the high humidity in the room and the operation mode of an air conditioner is determined by the room temp. That is, the air conditioner is so controlled as to carry out space heating operation for a fixed time at a room temp. of 15 deg.C, dehumidifying operation at 22 deg.C, and space cooling operation at 27 deg.C. For instance, when the temp. sensor is short-circuited in the condition at a room temp. of 15 deg.C and a room humidity of 85% and its output becomes an abnormal temp. of 50 deg.C, the space heating operation before the trouble is carried out again.
