Abstract

CONSTITUTION:An oxygen concentration detecting means (a) employing a detecting element formed by an oxide semiconductor is provided. An air-fuel ratio control means (b) to made feedback control on an air-fuel ratio of air-fuel mixture used for combustion based on the detecting output of the oxygen concentration detecting means (a) is provided. A control starting timing set means (c) to start feedback control by means of the air-fuel ratio control means (b) when the detecting output of the oxygen concentration detecting means (a) is increased to a given reference value two times or more is provided. This constitution accurately detects oxygen concentration in exhaust gas from an engine and improves accuracy of control of running performance and an air-fuel ratio.
