Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce noxious exhaust gas and economize fuel cost by detecting the generation of misfire with accuracy and controlling the air-fuel ratio of mixture on the basis of the detected result thereof.
CONSTITUTION: The output of a pressure sensor 31 is added to an integrator 33 via a buffer amplifier 32 for integration. When the output of a detected signal of a revolution angle detector 35 on every fixed crank angle is added to an MOS switch 38 via monostable multivibrators 36 and 37, the output of the integrator 33, that is, the integrated value of the output signal of the pressure sensor 31 is reset. This output is added to a sample hold circuit 40 via a buffer amplifier 34, and then to a comparator 42 via an amplifier 41. The output of the comparator 42 is used to indicate an misfire and control the air-fuel ratio.
