Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize the number of revolutions of an engine, by a method wherein, when a low car speed state is detected in the operating state of an on-vehicle auxiliary device, it is decided regardless of the opening of a throttle valve that an engine is in an idle running state, and a regulating amount per a unit time of a correction value of an air-fuel ratio is set to a low value. CONSTITUTION:A throttle valve 3 of a carburetor 1 is driven by a throttle opener 34. A 3-way solenoid valve 35 is situated in a negative pressure feed passage 34e through which the throttle opener 34 is communicated to a suction manifold 4 to form an idle up mechanism. In this case, detecting signals from various sensors 7, 10-14 and 16-18 to respectively detect the running state of an engine 5 and a detecting signal from a switch 19 for an on-vehicle auxiliary device, e.g. an air conditioner, are respectively inputted to a control circuit 20. When a low car speed state is detected under the operating state of the on-vehicle auxiliary device, a regulating amount per a unit time of a correction value of an air-fuel ratio is reduced regardless of the opening of the throttle valve 3.
