Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce noise correctly even with respect to a tilt pattern by utilizing an input/output signal of a frame memory retarding an output signal whose noise is reduced by one frame from an arithmetic circuit as an input signal of a color phase correction circuit and controlling the phase circuit by a movement detection circuit utilizing the input/output signal of the frame memory. CONSTITUTION:The noise reduction is operated by utilizing a signal B (2nd signal) whose noise is reduced in one preceding frame while the polarity of the chrominance carrier signal is inverted at a color phase correction circuit 5 for a composite color television signal (1st signal A) inputted to an input terminal 1 by means of an arithmetic circuit 2 and a signal C (3rd signal) whose noise is reduced is outputted at an output terminal 3. A 3rd signal C whose noise is reduced is inputted to a frame memory 4. A color phase correction circuit 5 utilizes the input/output signal of the frame memory to output the signal B where the chrominance carrier signal of one preceding frame is inverted by utilizing the input/output signal of the frame memory. The color phase correction circuit 5 is controlled by a movement coefficient (k) representing the movement information extracted by the movement detection circuit 6. Thus, noise reduction is attained.
