Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a boarder only to a part inserted with a shrinked picture and to achieve easy to see video, by designating a small screen in multifreeze effect according to the shrinked picture inserted position and picking up a boarder signal corresponding to this designation. CONSTITUTION:An output signal d1 of an H-boarder signal generating circuit 34 and an output signal b2 of a V-key signal generating circuit 35 are applied to an AND circuit 37 to a small screen E, and an output signal b1 of an H-key signal generating circuit 33 and an output signal d2 of a V-boarder signal generating circuit 36 are applied to an AND circuit 38. The output signals of the AND circuits 37 and 38 are applied to an OR circuit 39. The output signal of the OR circuit 39 is applied to an AND circuit 41 together with the output signal of a screen control section 40. When the small screen E is designated with a control signal fc, a boarder signal corresponding to the small screen E among the signals generated individually is inputted to an AND circuit 41 as the output signal of the section 40. A boarder 12 is provided for the part of the screen E on a television screen.
