Abstract

1512149 Colour television ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 22 Sept 1976 [27 Sept 1975] 39257/76 Heading H4F An automatic colour balance correction circuit operates on the three colour values by adding at 4'. 4<SP>11</SP>, 4<SP>111</SP>, a correction signal derived at 3<SP>1</SP>, 3<SP>11</SP>, 3<SP>111</SP> under control of signals from a correction circuit 7 wherein colour difference signals are generated at 6 and are used to determine picture areas having saturation below a predetermined threshold and luminance in a predetermined range (Fig. 2, not shown). The colour difference signals from such picture areas are integrated over several frames and dematrixed to give R, G and B control signals. Particular detail of the saturation threshold detector (Figs. 3 or 5) and of a high luminance value (near white) detector (Fig. 4) are given.
