Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain color reproduction with fidelity by adding and subtracting data corresponding to a delay error in a processing circuit system and readout data from a memory. CONSTITUTION:A time difference between an index signal 22 and a timing signal 23 when a blue phosphor of a fluorescent screen is scanned by a beam is stored and the stored data is read out and a data value corresponding to the delay error in a processing circuit system of the timing signal 23 is added and subtracted. That is, the time difference between the index signal 22 and a B timing signal 23 is measured and the measured data is subjected to addition/ subtraction to/from the data corresponding to the phase error of the B timing generated mainly in a band pass filter (BPF). Thus, an accurate measured data 25 is obtained and a color picture with fidelity is displayed.
