Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the efficient transfer of plural toner images on the same transfer paper and to prevent the generation of image abnormality such as image void by determining the transfer sequence in such a manner that the transfer sequence of the toner image having the largest electrostatic charge quantity per unit weight is not brought to the last. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive body 1 is made into a drum shape and is rotatable in an arrow direction. Three kinds of electrostatic latent images are successively formed on the photosensitive body 1 and 3 kinds of the toner images different in colors from each other are successively superposed and transferred onto the transfer paper 5 supported on a transfer paper support 3, by which the multi-color images are obtd. The electrosatic charge quantity per unit weight of the toners which constitute the toner images is noticed at this time and the transfer sequence is so determined that the transfer sequence of the toner image having the largest electrosatic charge quantity is not brought to the last. The high transfer efficiency is thereby obtd. without increasing the transfer current and the generation of the image void by the exfoliation discharge arising from the excessive charge of the transfer paper is prevented.
