ち上げたキヤツプ状に形成して、これを電圧非直
線抵抗体の両面に、該抵抗体を覆う様に被せて接
続し、上記電極の側壁部先端を上記電圧非直線抵
抗体から所定距離はなれた空間で対向させて、上
記電圧非直線抵抗体の両面間の電圧が所定値以上
になつた場合に励起放電が生じるように放電間隙
を形成し、さらに上記放電が放電電流の増大に伴
つて上記電極の側壁部外面間に転移して主放電を
形成する様に、上記電極の側壁部内面と電圧非直
線抵抗体との距離を設定したことを特徴とするサ
