Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase oxidation-corrosion resistance and reduction-corrosion resistance by separately using material resistant to fuel gas in the part exposed to fuel gas and material resistant to oxidizing agent gas in the part exposed to oxidizing agent gas. CONSTITUTION:Corrugated plates 2, 3 are placed on both sides of an intermediate plate 1 used for gas separation, and the recesses of the corrugated plates 2, 3 are used as gas passages. Austenitic stainless steel such as SUS310 is used for the intermediate plate 1 and the cathode side corrugated plate 3, and a nickel plate or a nickel plated reduction-resistant material plate is used for the anode side corrugated plate 2. Material having good corrosion resistance in an anode gas atmosphere and material having good corrosion resistance in a cathode atmosphere are combined to form a separator. The fuel cell separator having good oxidation resistance and reduction resistance can be obtained.
