Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent any generation of a defective battery, which might be caused due to the separation of a metal plating or a defective catalyst, by performing metal platings over a battery case before and after the press work of the battery case. CONSTITUTION:A generation element 5 prepared by stacking a positive mixture 5a, a separator 5b and a negative electrode 5c is placed in a battery case 3. After that, a case member 3b is placed on the negative electrode 5c, with a gasket 3c interposed between the case 3 and the case member 3b, to seal the battery, and the whole constitutes a button-type battery A.
