Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a continuous image in the depth direction and to always ensure a const. measuring accuracy on distribution and depth of cracks by obtaining the image of a part to be an object for investigation while an image inputting device is moved up and down in a bore hole. CONSTITUTION: An image inputting device 1 is moved up and down in a bore hole by means of a winch 3 to image the wall face. The image data obtd. by means of this image inputting device 1 are transmitted to a main body apparatus 2. The main body apparatus 2 makes the bright and dark image data into binary values to obtain the central line of a cracked part by obtaining the center to a connected pixel group by a fine line making processing means. This central line of the cracked part is made into a vector and informations on cracks such as width of the crack and so on are detected based on a vector unit.
