Abstract

PURPOSE:To develop the title Fe-based soft magnetic alloy having a stabilized and excellent magnetic characteristic by quenching the melt of the Fe-based alloy contg. Cu as the essential component and having a specified composition to form an amorphous material, and then heat-treating the material to crystallize a part of the material. CONSTITUTION:The melt of Fe-based alloy having a composition shown by formula I is quenched by a single-roll method, a twin-roll method, sputtering, ion plating, etc., to produce an amorphous thin film. The amorphous thin film is heat-treated in vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere for 5min-24hr at 450-700 deg.C in accordance with the composition, shape, size, etc., of the thin film so that at least 50% of the structure is recrystallized into crystallites having <1,000Angstrom mean grain diameter to obtain the structure surrounded by the amorphous material. An Fe-based soft magnetic alloy having the excellent stability of the magnetic characteristics such as the core loss, aging deterioration of the core loss, and permeability as the magnetic core of the high-frequency transformer, magnetic head, saturable reactor, and choke coil is obtained in this way.
