Abstract
PURPOSE: To accelerate rectification by providing a refrigerant ejector on the inlet side of a condenser and coupling the upper part of a rectifier separator with the suction port of the refrigerant ejector thereby utilizing the heat used for gas production effectively. CONSTITUTION: When a heater 17 is turned on and an on/off valve 19 is closed in separation mode, low boiling point refrigerant in a storage unit 18 is principally evaporated and ascends in a rectifier separator 15. Liquid refrigerant is supplied from the outlet of a condenser 12 to the upper part of the rectifier separator 15 and refining action takes place in the separator 15 through gas- liquid contact. Concentration of low boiling point refrigerant thereby increases in the ascending gas while concentration of high boiling point refrigerant increases in the descending gas and high boiling point refrigerant is stored in the storage unit 18 under the state of condensed liquid. The ascending gas rich in low boiling point refrigerant is introduced to the suction port of a refrigerant ejector 16 disposed at the inlet of condenser and the heat from the heater can be utilized effectively when the gas is fed again to the condenser 12 and condensed. The main circuit can be operated with a composition of mixed refrigerant rich in low boiling point refrigerant.
