Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize the heat used for refinement gas production effectively on the condenser side by coupling the top side of a rectifier separator with the inside of a compressor cylinder and jetting gas ascending in the rectifier separator into the compressor cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A heater 17 is turned on and an on/off valve 16 is opened in separation mode. Liquid refrigerant is supplied from the outlet of a condenser 12 to the upper part of the rectifier separator 15 and refining action takes place in the separator 15 through gas-liquid contact. Concentration of low boiling point refrigerant thereby increases in the ascending gas while concentration of high boiling point refrigerant increases in the descending gas and high boiling point refrigerant is stored in a storage unit 18 under the state of condensed liquid. The ascending gas is passed through the on/off valve 16 and jetted into a compression cylinder where it is compressed, along with a sucked gas, up to a high pressure before being fed into the condenser 12. Since the heat of gas evaporated by means of the heater can be recovered by the condenser 12, the main circuit can be operated with the composition of a mixed refrigerant rich in the low melting point refrigerant and the heating energy required for rectification can be utilized effectively.
