Abstract
PURPOSE:To execute accurately and smoothly the locating of an objective in a track control and an access control by providing a means to speedily rotate a guiding shaft member for constantly maintaining a carriage and the guide shaft member relatively in a dynamic condition. CONSTITUTION:By the high-speed rotated of a motor 20, a pulley 21 fitted to the rotating shaft of the motor 20 is rotated, and the rotation is correctly transmitted to guiding shafts 19a and 19b. At such a time, the peripheral surface of the pulley 21 has an elastic member 22 in order to damp a minute high frequency oscillation generated from the motor 20, etc., and to maintain a contact condition with the guiding shafts 19a and 19b constant. Thus, since, between sliding shaft bearings 18a and 18b and the guiding shafts 19a and 19b, a carriage 17 can be activated by overcoming a dynamic friction force much smaller than a static friction force, the carriage 17 is immediately activated even by a weak current and smoothly moved in a shaft direction. Thus, the locating control of the objective at the time of the track control and the access control can be accurately and smoothly executed.
