Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a pre-load of a piezoelectric ceramic element constant over a wide temperature range by packing a ring shaped pressing body with electric insulation into a closed space formed by the ceramic element, an output block and a rear block without any gap. CONSTITUTION:The ring pressing body 13 with electric insulation is packed without any gap into the closed space formed by the piezoelectric ceramic elements 1a, 1b, the output block 14 and the rear block 15. Thus, the decrease in the pre-load due to temperature rise is compensated by a compression force exerted to the outer circumference of the piezoelectric ceramic element as the result of thermal expansion of the ring pressing body 13. Thus, the thermal resistance vibrator with less characteristic change over a wide temperature range is obtained.
