Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution by displacing a level of an amplitude change component in a different polarity respectively, and comparing the displaced level with an average level to detect surely the occurrence of a multi- path. CONSTITUTION:An output signal U4 from a detection circuit supplied 17 an integration circuit 18, where an average level of a stereo pilot signal is obtained. The level displacement circuits 21, 22 displace the level of a signal U4 by a predetermined value in a negative and a positive direction respectively and feed the result to a noninverting input terminal of comparators 23, 24 as signals U5, U6 respectively. The output of the comparators 23, 24 is led at an output terminal 26 via an OR gate 25 and when a signal U7 representing an average level of the detection signal U4 does not exist in the range of the signals U5, U6, a signal U8 representing the occurrence of multi-path is led out. Thus, the occurrence of the multi-path is detected surely and not so much sharp frequency characteristic is needed for a filter 16 thereby simplifying the constitution.
