Abstract

PURPOSE:To form a superconductor layer exhibiting preferable superconducting characteristic and to enhance its performance by employing a perovskite type oxide insulator in which the main axis of its surface is used as a C-axis of a perovskite crystal structure as an insulating substrate. CONSTITUTION:An insulating substrate 1 is used as a perovskite type oxide insulator having a main axis of its surface at a C-axis of a perovskite crystal structure. Thus, since a first perovskite type oxide superconductor layer 2 deposited thereon has a similar crystal structure to the substrate, it can be deposited and grown while holding the crystal structure of the substrate by selecting conditions. That is, the layer 2 having its main axis at the C-axis can be obtained, and a superconductor device having preferable superconductor in a wiring direction becoming perpendicular to the C-axis can be obtained.
