PURPOSE:To supply a developer to a developing device body without spilling or scattering the developer, by providing a setting means for setting plural pieces of developer containers to the developing device body. CONSTITUTION:The titled device is constituted so that a toner can be supplied by setting a new different developer container 109 to a body in a state that a developer container 9 which has been used until that time remains set to the body 8. That is, at the time of replenishing a toner into the body 8, a developing device 3 is removed from a copying machine body, or in a state that it remains installed, flange parts 122, 122 of the second container 109 are fitted into the second guide rails 121, 121 of the first container 9, and the container 109 is pushed in the direction as indicated with an arrow C1, and allowed to conform to the first container 9. In such a way, the toner can be supplied to the body 8 without removing the container 9. Therefore, contamination of the periphery caused by spilling or scattering of the toner can be prevented.
