CONSTITUTION:A developing device is provided with an opening part 22 for a developer provided with a containing part that permits the insertion of a developer recovering cartridge 21 in the lower part of a scooping sleeve 3. Normally, this opening part is held closed with a drawing cover 23. An opening part 24 for supplying of the developer separate from the part 18 is provided to a placing plate 9 for a replenishing toner cartridge 8, and is so constituted that normally it is held closed with a drawing cover 25. According to this constitution, the developing device is not removed from the body of a copying machine in the stage of exchanging the developers, and therefore, the exchanging is accomplished easily.
