PURPOSE:To make it possible to attach and detach a photoreceptor easily in safety, by pivoting the photoreceptor detachably in a main copying machine body through an attachment-detachment path and by putting a peripheral device off the attachment-detachement path when the photoreceptor is attached or detached. CONSTITUTION:Around photoreceptor 4 pivoted rotatably nearly in the center of copying machine body 1, charging device 5, exposure device 6, development device 7, transfer device 8, cleaning device 9, etc., are arranged as peripheral devices; only transfer device 8 is installed in lower housing 3, and the others in upper housing 2. Cleaning device 9 and transfer device 8 are coupled with a stand-by mechanism and separate from photoreceptor 4, so that upper housing 2 can be released from lower housing 3. At this time, photoreceptor 4, while fixed to upper housing 2, is held from the solid-line position to the two-dot chain line position along attachment-detachment path 50 shown by the one-dot chain line.
