Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of the reset-to-zero magnet of a movable magnet type instrument when a current is supplied to a crossing coil by arranging the reset-to-zero magnet in a prescribed direction of about -45 or 135 deg. from the minimum position of a stylus. CONSTITUTION:The crossing coil 1 consisting of coils 1A and 1B which are wound almost at right angles to each other is wound around a bobbin 2, the movable magnet 3 is arranged rotatably in the bobbin 2, and a pointer shaft 4 and a pointer 5 are fitted to constitute the movable magnet type instrument. Further, the reset-to-zero magnet is arranged at -45 deg. from the position where the pointer is at its minimum indication position so that the prolongation of the straight line connecting the N and S poles runs in the center of rotation of the movable magnet 3. Then a prescribed voltage is added to the center voltage of the amplitude in such a direction that the magnetic field of the reset-to-zero magnet 6 is eliminated, thereby removing the influence of the reset-to-zero magnet when a current is supplied to the crossing coil 1.
