Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the reading error of an original written sector due to a secular change and to assure the reliability of data by reproducing the data in an optical disk controller according to an instruction incoming from a host system for a constant time and recording a rewriting in other sector when error corrected symbols reach a constant value or above. CONSTITUTION:The instruction and the data are transmitted to/received from the host system by an interface circuit 1, the number of the errors is decided in a microprocessor 2 to detect that the instruction does not come for the constant time. The data is stored in a reproducing data storing circuit 4 to detect that the respective symbols are corrected in an error symbol correcting detecting circuit 7, count the number of the errors by an error correcting number counter 8 and stored the error correcting number in a storing circuit 5. Further, a sector position is detected in a sector position detecting circuit 11, write reproduced data in a writing data storing circuit 3 and prevent the deterioration of the written data.
